General Laborer
We are looking for a couple reliable skilled laborers to help in building, demolition, excavation, finish work, tile and maintenance type and other tasks. Experience in all facets not required but expertise in one or two preferred. You must be well-organized and a self-starter with strong general construction skills. A keen eye for detail is valued greatly in this job. There are two positions open and looking to hire in the near future, but willing to wait for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and light repairs
- Operating equipment and earthmoving
- Light installation of cabinetry and other carpentry
- Landscaping and yard work
- Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Cleaning and tidying up after projects
Required Qualifications
- Experience with hardware, tools, and power tools
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
- Basic math skills
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- Self starter and positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Prefered Qualifications
- Proven experience in the construction industry
- 2+ years of experience in any of the following: electrical, plumbing, tile work, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, property management/maintenance, steel and pole building construction, excavation
- Heavy operating experience is a plus
Pay: $25+ per hour (based on experience)
Work Location: Steamboat Springs, CO and surrounding area
